István Ficza (1983) was born in Érsekújvár (Nové Zámky), Slovakia. He graduated from the Academy of Drama and Film in 2012, and right after he joined the ensemble of the Örkény Theatre. His past roles in the repertoire of the Örkény Theatre are: Robert Falconbridge – King John by F. Dürrenmatt, Mortimer – Mary Stuart by F. Schiller. His present roles on the repertoire: Sebastian – The Tempest by W. Shakespeare, Narrator, Postman, Gyula – The Tóth Family by István Örkény, Guildenstern – Hamlet by W. Shakespeare, MC – The Tales from the Vienna Woods by Ödön von Horváth, Happy – Death of a Salesman by A. Miller. He holds the Best Actor Award given by the Máthé Erzsi Foundation (2012) as well as of the Vidor Festival (for The Lonesome West, 2013).
