Réka Tenki

Réka Tenki (1986) one of the most significant actresses of her generation, graduated from the Academy of Drama and Film in 2008. She joined the Katona József Theatre in 2008, then the National Theatre in 2012. Later, in 2016 she became a member of the Örkény Theatre. Previously she played some very important roles at the Katona József Theatre, like Marianne

in Tales from the Vienna Woods by Ödön von Horváth, then at the National Theatre she played Eve in the Hungarian classic, The Tragedy of Man by I. Madách, Harper in Angels in America by Tony Kushner, and Lotte Lindenthal in Mephisto by Klaus Mann, as well as Masha in The Seagull by A. P. Chekov. She also created a monodrama at the independent scene, at Juranyi Incubator House, with the title OneWoman by Péterfy-Novák Éva which brought her the Critics’ Award for Best Actress in 2016. Her present roles on the repertoire of the Örkény Theatre include: Masha – Three Sisters by A. P. Chekov, Hadina, Ren– Joseph and His Brothers by Th. Mann. Her awards include: Best Actress Under the Age of 30, 2009, POSZT, Most Promising Young Actor – Critics’ Award, 2009, Best Actress – 2012, POSZT (Barbarians), Best Actress, 2012,  Critics’ Award (Barbarians), Best Supporting Actor - 2013. Critics’ Award (Seagull), Best Actress Under the Age of 30, 2013, POSZT (Amphitryon). She played in significant Hungarian films, like Free Fall by György Pálfi (2014) and On Body and Soul by Ildikó Enyedi (2016) that Hungary nominates for the Oscar in 2017.
